dc.description.abstract | Pragmatics means a real change of perspective in linguistics. The following approach establishes the connection between communication in sports and pragmatics by shifting the emphasis of what we say to what we can do with the help of the words. In sports, as in the other areas, communications has a lot of functions/ roles and can be used in different purposes, not only to express the matter. Uttering a statement, the athlete performs simultaneously multiplexing speech acts as: to say somethingmeaningful, to ask, to counsel, to default, to report an assessment, to change an award etc. | ru_RU |
