Abstract

The highest degree of appreciation of the coach's activity is carried out only in the framework of the certification process, which allows authorities to check the teaching skills needed to test the professional level. It is regrettable that, as a result of this succession of actions, the psycho-pedagogical competences of coaches, which are intended to transmit, and to give life not only to knowledge, but also to qualities worthy of taking over, remain in the shadow. The great depth and scale of the coach function impose complex tasks related to his training and work. The specialist training must be complemented by a rich general culture, knowledge from different fields of art, science and technology. Practice shows that the achievement of high performance in most types of sport at this stage is largely determined by the coach's personality, his attitude toward the athlete. The professionalism of the coach, together with other factors such as the practical application of sport training theory, the scientific guidance of the training process, providing the appropriate material basis, contribute substantially to increasing national and international performance.
