A study was carried out aimed at improving the quality of non-professional physical education of lyceum students of a technological profile. Prospects for improving the professional-applied orientation of physical education of technological lyceum students are presented, based on the existing traditions and modern approaches in the field of professional-applied training of various levels of education, taking into account the psychophysical and socio-psychological characteristics of the personality of students and taking into account the possibilities of the educational content of physical education of the lyceum cycle.
