This paper studies the influence of the individualized training specific means, applied in / through individual lessons with the coach at technical-tactical training level, evaluated by the results achieved in competitions by foil fencers aged 16 – 19 years. The study was conducted on 10 male and female athletes of this age group. All members of the experimental group are included in the Romanian Fencing Federation ranking for 2021. For an efficient personalized lesson, the aim was to develop a mutual adaptability, from student to coach and vice versa. Also, 4 models of individual lessons were monitored and evaluated over 18 months. The technical-tactical training results show the increase of actions number in direct attacks, atacks with disengage, parry-riposte and compound attacks (p<0.01). The performance level highlights the increase of group tour victories (p>0.05) and given touches (p<0.05); decrease of received touches (p<0.01); increase of victories by direct eliminations (p>0.05); decrease and increase in obtaining direct results in competitions (p<0.05). The correlative analysis reveals 52.7% significant connections between the technical-tactical training indicators and the performance indicators (8.3% at p<0.001; 11.1% at p<0.01 and 33.3% at p<0.05). We can conclude that the influence of the individualized training specific means on the technical-tactical preparation of foil fencers aged 16-19 years led to better performances in competition.
