Tourism is one of the economic sectors with the most dynamic development and an efficient source of income. The tourist market in the Republic of Moldova is in a period of establishment in the conditions of an insufficient sustainability from the state, of the underdeveloped infrastructure, of the low level of competition and of the services. At the present stage, the fundamental objective of higher education is the training of a quality specialist in the field of tourism, able to adapt quickly to changes in the environment, ready for practical activity, able to use modern technologies, find flexible, optimal solutions, identify influences external environment on the company's business and be able to forecast demand. In the present research we aimed to make an analysis of the opinions of tourism practitioners regarding the problems and prospects of the tourism industry in the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the obtained results would allow the identification of the main directions of development of the tourism industry in the future.
