The popularity of sports competitions among the population, significant financial investments and the ability to currently influence the country's image form a favorable environment for cases of corruption in the field of sport. In fact, corruption in sport has existed for about a hundred years, however, no universal way has yet been found to counter it. The problems are quite important, whether we refer to contractual matches, to tax evasion by clubs (especially by registering in offshore companies) or not transferring the activity of agents; facts and acts of harassment, in particular sexual harassment of young athletes and women, bribery, fraud, violence and blackmail in sports, arranging matches and handling sporting events, doping and illegal drug use, and food supplements. Particular importance in preventing and counteracting corruption in sport must be given to their identification and reporting to law enforcement agencies. Until recently, almost nothing was known about corruption in sport, but sport has no state borders, which is why it is necessary to develop a single international approach, namely the fight against corruption in this field.
